The quality of high alumina bricks can be inspected and identified according to the following methods.
1. Whether the specifications and dimensions of high-alumina refractory bricks meet the requirements and whether the dimensions are consistent.
2. Whether the strength can meet the requirements, in addition to the test report issued by the laboratory, the strength of the aluminum brick can also be determined by the sound of tapping.
3. Whether the edges and corners are complete and straight, and whether the flatness of the exposed surface is good.
4. Whether the color difference can meet the engineering requirements. Whether the high-alumina brick has a string of smoke and turns black.
5. Is there any underfire, or even raw bricks that are not cooked. The surface or interior of the underfire brick is dark red, and there is a mute sound when struck.
6. Whether there have over fire bricks. Especially for dry swing and silk seam, it will be difficult to cut and process if over-fired high-alumina bricks are used. The color of high-alumina bricks is darker than normal high-alumina bricks, and there are many bending deformations, and the sound is crisp and metal-like when struck.
7. Whether there have cracks.Wind cracks can be detected by observation, and the fire crack of the high-alumina brick caused by the combustion can be recognized by the knocking sound. Bricks with cracks on the surface or inside will reduce the strength and be prone to freeze-thaw damage.
8. Density check. The density of holes, blisters, water cut layers, sand cut layers and impurities can be affected by checking the section of the dried mud billet and the section identification of the finished high alumina brick.
9. Whether there is frost . Frosted bricks cannot be used for foundations or damp parts, and severely frosted bricks are unqualified.
10. Other checks. Such as whether the sand content of the soil is too large, whether it contains slurry stone particles, whether there are lime particles or even lime bursting, whether the high-alumina bricks are exposed to rain, whether the bricks are frozen or contain frozen soil, etc. The existence of these phenomena will lead to the decline of the quality of bricks, which should be carefully observed and inspected.
11. Check the test report issued by the high alumina brick manufacturer. After the bricks are delivered to the site, the project department should select samples by themselves and send them to the laboratory for re-examination. If the retest results do not meet the national standards, it means that the on-site materials do not match the quality of the samples.
