Four lightweight insulation refractory bricks

The raw materials used in lightweight refractory bricks can be divided into clay, siliceous, aluminum and mullite. The reason why lightweight bricks can be insulated is because the bricks contain a large number of pores (including closed pores and open pores). The methods of causing pores include: adding combustibles, foaming, and chemical methods. Lightweight refractory bricks have low compressive strength, poor slag resistance, and poor thermal vibration resistance, and cannot be in direct contact with glass liquid or flame.

①Lightweight clay insulation brick

Lightweight clay  insulating bricks are heat insulating refractory products with Al2O3 content of 30%-48% made of refractory clay as the main raw material. Its production process adopts burn-out addition method and foam method. Using refractory clay, floating beads, and refractory clay clinker as raw materials, adding binder and sawdust, through the steps of batching, mixing, forming, drying and firing, a product with a bulk density of 0.3-1.5g/cm3 is prepared . The output of lightweight clay insulation bricks accounts for more than half of the total output of insulation and refractory bricks.

②Lightweight Silica Insulation Brick

Lightweight silica insulating bricks are heat insulating refractory products with SiO2 content of not less than 91% ,made of silica as the main raw material. The bulk density of the lightweight silica insulation brick is 0.9-1.1g/cm3, the thermal conductivity is only half of that of the ordinary silica brick, and the thermal vibration resistance is good. The starting temperature of its softening under load can reach 1600 ℃, which is much higher than that of clay insulation bricks. Therefore, the use temperature of siliceous insulation bricks can reach 1550 ° C. It does not shrink at high temperatures, and even slightly expands.

③Lightweight alumina insulation brick

Lightweight alumina heat insulating bricks are heat insulating refractory products made of fused corundum, sintered alumina and industrial alumina as the main raw materials. Its production process have foam method and burn-out addition method.

④Lightweight mullite insulation brick

Lightweight mullite insulation bricks are heat insulating refractory products made of mullite as the main raw material. Mullite insulation bricks have high temperature resistance, high strength, low thermal conductivity, and can be directly contacted with flames. They are suitable for the lining of various industrial kilns.
